The Rivian Siphonic Roof Drain Expansion project in Normal, Illinois introduced an innovative siphonic drainage system to address the growing water management needs of Rivian’s expanding manufacturing facilities. This advanced system uses air-free pipe flow to rapidly evacuate rainwater from large roof surfaces, eliminating the need for traditional sloped piping and enabling more efficient drainage infrastructure. Wolf Engineering provided plumbing design services for this critical infrastructure upgrade, developing a system that reduces pipe size and material use, lowers construction costs, and increases available building space.
